Don't trust a hoe

"You're being paranoid, and frankly, it's annoying." Lydia oh so kindly informed Stiles as they walked down the upstairs corridor. That Parker kid was in two of his classes so far, and Stiles had been Code Red all day. "Call me when he kills somebody."
"That's so HELPFUL!" Stiles called after her, grumbling and shaking his head as he headed for his last class. "Fine, we'll just wait for somebody to die! Am I living in a freaking Groundhog Day here?"
"I'll just do it myself." Because talking to himself was going to get him everywhere in life.
"Heyyy, Peter, right?" Stiles could be friendly when he wanted to be. He had social skills. Maybe. "I'm Stiles."

Date: 2015-07-30 05:59 pm (UTC)There was no way he could easily find answers now as Oscorp was back in New York. Not in this shitty town.
Every thing about it he hated so he kept mostly to himself. Like he loved to do anyway. It wasn't until a few weeks in that he began to feel a little comfortable. Enough that he was bringing his camera to school again snapping pictures here and there.
On his way to his final class of the day Peter suddenly found himself face to face with a student. One that was talking to him. Still he looked back, as if there was another Peter this guy could be talking to.
"Yeah, peter." Then he remembered. Stilinski. The one with the smart-ass comments but sucked at lacrosse. He'd seen a game.
"You are on the lacrosse team right?" Pushing his glasses up his nose he couldn't help but grin a little.

Date: 2015-07-30 06:13 pm (UTC)"Yeah, I am. Second line." Like anyone could get on first line if they weren't a supernatural creature. Not that it excused Stiles from sucking, but it helped him sleep at night. "You a sports guy?"
He was trying to be subtle in giving Peter the once over - he seemed nice enough, didn't have that weird creep-o vibe that Matt had, but at the same time, there was definitely something off about him. Stiles couldn't put his finger on it, but when he did...
"Look, ah, you wouldn't happen to be any good at chemistry, would you? Because I kind of suck at it and the teacher totally hates my guts. I could use a few tips."

Date: 2015-07-30 06:34 pm (UTC)"You want me to tutor you?" Because that's what this was starting to sound like.
"Aren't you friends with Lydia? She is like, super smart." He had seen her during class, writing her notes and the answers to problems on the black board. "And you know her." Why was he trying to push Stiles away? This was a perfect chance to make a friend.
No wonder he had barely any back at his other school.

Date: 2015-07-30 06:52 pm (UTC)"Yeah I know her but - " Stiles pauses, eyeing Peter for a second, trying to decide what to say. "I want to know you. Look man, if you're too busy it's cool." Stiles would just have to come up with a Plan B. "Moving to a new town and all, bound to be pretty busy."
Bull-shit, Stiles was pretty sure Peter hadn't done much of anything since he got to town. Not that he was stalking him. Look, it wasn't a crime to protect his home. Okay, maybe in the most legal definition, it was but - oh, fuck it.

Date: 2015-07-30 07:52 pm (UTC)"No no. I... am not busy." he really wasn't. There was nothing to do in this town and after a while experimenting with his new found powers got boring too.
"You want to hang out after class? I can look at your notes then?" They were already a few minutes late so he grabbed hold of Stiles bicep, just a light hold and tugging so they would start moving to class while walking.

Date: 2015-07-30 07:59 pm (UTC)"Sure. I've got a car, and there's a Starbucks less than a mile from here?"

Date: 2015-07-30 08:17 pm (UTC)Writing down his notes like the good boy he was by the time class had ended he'd almost forgotten about his plans after.
He met Stiles by his locker, taking out his skate board that he rode when going to school.
"Okay. I got everything." Chemistry notes were in his backpack so was all of their homework for the day.

Date: 2015-07-30 08:28 pm (UTC)Stiles spun his keys on his finger and ignored the 'what the hell' looks he got from his friends as he headed outside with Peter. They knew he was suspicious, so why was he taking Peter somewhere in his Jeep?
"Here she is, my pride and joy." Stiles looked way too proud of the piece of shit jeep sitting in his parking space. He patted the hood fondly, climbing into the driver's seat.

Date: 2015-08-01 07:35 pm (UTC)His super hero career sure had been short-lived.
"Cool jeep." Peter hit the hood what was supposed to be a pat really but ended up being much more than that as he heard the car groan in it's own way. Shit. Quickly he retreated his hand and let out an awkward laugh.
Quickly he got in the other side.
"So uhm. Yeah. Thanks for wanting to hang out. And stuff."

Date: 2015-08-01 08:40 pm (UTC)Stiles blinks when the metal of his hood pops under Peter's hand, and yeah, okay, consider his suspicions confirmed. There was definitely something up there, because his jeep was a piece of shit but it was pretty sturdy against everything non-supernatural.
"Sure, dude. I've lived here my whole life, so it's kind of my duty to bring in the welcome wagon, you know?" Stiles starts the car, bouncing out of the school parking lot. He...wasn't exactly great about not speeding. "And you seem pretty cool, Peter."

Date: 2015-08-04 08:08 pm (UTC)Noticing they were not following the speed limit he frowned. "Uhhh, Stiles, isn't your dad a cop?" He'd heard something about that. Shouldn't he be on his best behavior then? Or maybe he was suffering from a complex and did he exact opposite? It didn't make him feel uncomfortable it just made him worry they might get pulled over.
He didn't fancy getting his ass kicked by his aunt.
"I uhh. I'm from New York City. We moved here because well.." He frowned. "Aunt May thought it would be better for me."

Date: 2015-08-04 08:16 pm (UTC)"...the Sheriff, actually." Stiles grinned sheepishly. "Don't worry, I'm not going to rat anyone out, if that's what you're worried about."
"Nice! Bet that's a big change." Stiles tilted his head a little. "Didn't want to raise you in the city?"

Date: 2015-08-04 08:36 pm (UTC)Might as well make it worth his while for one year he'd be here as he'd already decided he was going to move back to New York the moment he graduated.
"Sure, I'll come."
Wondering if they were almost there as he was craving coffee and a snack he shrugged at the other question. He was regretting mentioning it.
"Don't think it's that. Anyway, are there like things to do here? It seems.. quiet?"

Date: 2015-08-04 08:41 pm (UTC)"Yeah, there are parties like every other weekend." Stiles honked at a Toyota trying to creep into traffic, as he swung the jeep around into the parking lot. "Drinking, dancing, lacrosse games. Video games."
He did snort, though, when Peter mentioned it being quiet. Hardly, at least, not on the supernatural end. "We've had our fair share of trouble. Arson, murder, animal attacks - "
Stiles parked and got out of the car, still rattling off his list. "Escaped mental patients, a crazy kid with a gun at the police station, a fake bombing covering for a real bombing - "

Date: 2015-08-07 10:22 am (UTC)"Oh. Guess I just haven't heard of them." No surprise there. He didn't have any friends yet so there was no one to invite him. Apparently it didn't matter where he went being an outcast didn't change.
"Eh, that sounds like home." He supposed for a small town that was a big deal. For his own city? Not so much. Stuff like that happened daily.
"How does that work though. Fake bombing covering for a real one?"
no subject
Date: 2015-08-07 10:30 am (UTC)Well, it wasn't like his father had a helluva lot of choice in the matter. It probably would have been different, he'd probably come down harder, if Stiles' mom were there. But, then, well - she wasn't.
"You will. They're not always fun if you're not a drunk." Peter didn't look like the type. "The next big one is going to be bonfire night before the big lacrosse game against the shitty northern prep school. We're like enemies or something. Free beer, I guess."
Stiles would expect nothing less. But in a town this size? The crime to human ratio was kind of ridiculous. No wonder they sent in the FBI to investigate his dad. "Home sweet home."
"They planted a fake bomb on a bus at school. Lured a response team out there, so when the real bomb went off in my dad's office, no one was expecting it. Kind of genius, in a twisted way."
no subject
Date: 2015-08-12 01:54 pm (UTC)"Sounds like fun. Not the fake bombing. The lacrosse thing. Bombings aren't fun. Unless it's in games, then it can be a little fun. And movies. Explosions in movies are pretty cool. But they are fake so, no one gets hurt."
And now was a good time to shut the fuck up. Looking away from Stiles he stared out of the window instead. "There's a whole lot of nothing in this town is there?" No houses, just a road and trees surrounding them.

Date: 2015-08-13 05:10 am (UTC)For a second, Stiles is reminded of his own tendency to stammer. When he's coming down off his meds; but Peter seemed far too relaxed to be on adderall. Believe him, Stiles could call an Adderall patient from a mile away. So, he was probably just nervous. Which was either a) suspicious, or b) totally normal and Stiles was a freak for reading into this, wasn't he?
"I wouldn't say nothing." Stiles folds his hands together, glancing out the window. "But it can be a little slow at times." When werewolves aren't running around all night long.

Date: 2015-08-18 04:22 pm (UTC)"My aunt works at the hospital. As a nurse." Since Stiles had started sharing more about himself and the town he figured he should too.
"How far is the coffee shop?"

Date: 2015-09-03 07:30 am (UTC)"We're here," Stiles turned into the parking lot, securing a spot in the relatively empty lot. "The town is deceptively big. Lot of land, not a lot of stuff in it. Makes everything farther apart."
